As a ninth grade student at Broughton High School, Emmei Gootnick was introduced to the ACE Mentor Program in Raleigh.  She joined the program with an interest in engineering, but she was introduced to several career paths through a combination of project work and guest speakers sharing insights during her four years of participation with ACE.  Emmei realized that her interests swayed more toward a path in architecture, which she will begin pursuing this fall.  We hope to have Emmei back as a mentor in the future so that she can continue sharing her ACE experience!
